Social Groups
Tuesday Scrabble Club & Coffee
Join us for a relaxed Tuesday afternoon at Our Lady of Victories, Lutterworth! Whether you’re a Scrabble enthusiast or just enjoy good company over a cup of tea or coffee, all are welcome.
When: Tuesday 2-4 pm
Where: Our Lady of Victories Church Hall, Lutterworth
Who: Open to all ages – beginners and experienced players welcome

It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow parishioners in a friendly, informal setting.
Coffee After Mass
Stay for coffee and fellowship after Thursday and Sunday Masses. It’s a great way to meet other parishioners and feel part of our parish family.
Readers (Lectors)
Proclaim the Word of God during Mass by reading the first and second readings.
Requirements:
- Clear speaking voice
- Comfort with public reading
- Brief training session provided
Altar Servers
Young people (typically age 8+) and adults assist the priest during Mass.
Requirements:
- First Holy Communion received
- Regular Mass attendance
- Training provided
Music Ministry
Do you sing or play an instrument? Join our music ministry to enhance our liturgical celebrations.

Prayer Groups & Devotions
Eucharistic Adoration
Spend time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.
St Pius X, Narborough:
- Monday: 9:00 AM before 10:00 AM Mass
Our Lady of Victories, Lutterworth:
- Tuesday: 9:30 AM before 10:30 AM Mass
Rosary Group
Pray the Rosary together for the intentions of the parish and the world.

Parish Prayer Intentions
Submit your prayer intentions to be remembered at Mass and in the prayers of the parish community.
Sacramental Preparation
Baptism Preparation
Preparing to have your child baptized? We offer preparation sessions for parents and godparents.
Contact: Parish office at least 2-3 months before your desired date
First Holy Communion & Confirmation
Programs for children preparing to receive these sacraments.
When: Preparation typically begins in autumn
Requirements: Child must be baptized and of appropriate age
Contact: Parish office in spring for enrollment details
Marriage Preparation
Engaged couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage should contact the parish office at least 6 months before the desired wedding date.
We offer:
- Pre-marriage meetings with Fr. Joel
- Marriage preparation course
- Support in planning your Catholic wedding ceremony
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Are you interested in becoming Catholic? Were you baptized but never confirmed? RCIA is the process for adults to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church.

Children & Youth Ministry
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
During Sunday Mass, children are invited to hear the Gospel proclaimed at their level with age-appropriate reflection.
When: Selected Sundays during term time
Who: Children approximately ages 4-8
Youth Group
Activities and faith formation for young people (ages vary by program).

Charitable Outreach
Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP)
The SVP serves those in need in our local community through practical assistance and friendship.
How to help:
- Join the SVP conference
- Donate to collections for the poor
- Volunteer for specific projects
Food Bank Collections
Regular collections for local food banks to support families in need.
What’s needed: Non-perishable food items, toiletries, etc.

CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development)
Support international development and disaster relief through the official Catholic aid agency.

The Parish of the Holy Name of Jesus is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. All volunteers working with these groups undergo DBS checks and safeguarding training.
